Dry
Needling
Precision trigger point therapy using thin, sterile needles to release deep muscle tension, eliminate pain, and restore full range of motion.
What is dry
needling?
Dry needling is a skilled technique performed by trained practitioners that uses thin filiform needles to penetrate the skin and stimulate underlying myofascial trigger points, muscular, and connective tissues.
The technique targets knotted or hard muscle tissue that has contracted and become painful. When the needle hits a trigger point, the muscle twitches and then releases, reducing tension and pain while improving blood flow.
This is not acupuncture. Dry needling is grounded in Western medical research and is specifically aimed at treating musculoskeletal pain and movement dysfunction.

Common
questions
What does dry needling feel like?
Most patients feel a slight pressure or a brief twitch response in the muscle. The sensation is brief and tolerable. Many report immediate relief after the twitch response.
How is dry needling different from acupuncture?
While both use thin needles, dry needling targets specific muscular trigger points based on Western anatomy and physiology. Acupuncture follows traditional Chinese medicine meridian theory.
Is dry needling safe?
Yes. Dry needling is performed by trained, licensed professionals using sterile, single-use needles. Side effects are minimal and typically limited to mild soreness.
